What is THE HST?The Hollywood Summer Tour is a dance career intensive intended for advanced dancers who are serious about pursuing a career in commercial dance in LA. It is the ideal program that will provide each dancer with all the tools needed to get started and be successful in this cut-throat dance industry.We only take on a small group of elite dancers from all over the world to participate in this prestigious program.They will be mentored by top industry professionals who are actively working in the entertainment industry in Los AngelesWhat are the dates?The Full Program is from July 23 - August 5, 2012The Partial Program is from July 29 - August 5, 2011Do I have the option of attending the full or partial program?YES. How is it different from any other summer dance intensives? We are the first to offer unique opportunities such as starring in a professional music video with a pop artist, getting your own professional website and other marketing tools, attending a private audition with agents, as well as attending marketing, nutrition, immigration and financial seminars. We are the only ones who have attended private film screenings for FOOTLOOSE at Paramount Studios as well as participate in a TV segment with Mario Lopez on EXTRAOur program is run by industry professionals who are actively working in the LA Dance business who know first hand what it takes to make it in this cut throat industry.We are able to keep the tuition low for dancers because of our great local business relationships. We offer MORE for LESS.Unlike most programs, you have to be invited or selected to be. apart of our program. We have a reputation of bringing the best of the best from around the world who have the talent, drive, passion and attitude for success. Our goal is to help each dancer and take their careers to the next level in a friendly, encouraging and positive atmosphere.Who is eligible to participate on THE HST?- Dancers Must be between the ages of 14 - 25 yrs old- Advanced in Jazz, Hip hop and/or Ballet - other dance styles a plus- Amateur, Semi-Professional or ProfessionalHow can I apply?If you would like to be considered for The Hollywood Summer Tour, please fill out the application by CLICKING HEREAll material will be carefully reviewed. The deposit is due at time of registration. The balance can be paid in multiple payments as long as the balance is paid in full by July 1, 2011If I received a scholarship, can I take advantage of the discounts?Yes, however you cannot combine offers. You will have to choose between using the scholarship or the early registration discounts. It's up to youWhat other costs should I be prepared to pay for?Airfare, Cost of Food & Souvenir ShoppingWhen should I book my flight?We will inform you when to arrive and depart Los Angeles International Airport in order to coordinate with shuttle pick up & drop off timesCan I extend my stay or come early?Yes. If you fly in early or later than the group, you are responsible for your own ground transportation. We can assist you with accommodations if you would like to extend your stay. Many dancers in the past have stayed longer, especially those coming from overseas.Can a parent or chaperone accompany a dancer?Yes. Chaperones are highly recommended for all dancers under 18 yrs of age. We also welcome families to register. They get to stay in the same room, accompany the dancer and participate in all the activities. The chaperones and families have just as much fun as the dancers ;-)Where will I be staying? What are the accommodation arrangements?Everyone will stay at THE OAKWOODS in Hollywood Hills (5 minutes from Universal Studios. CLICK HERE for more details.Do we eat out or can I prepare my own meals?You will get an opportunity to grocery shop and prepare your own meals if you wish. Some days we will eat out.
